About Veda Kosha Project

Kosha (https://kosha.paravidya.org) is a dedicated Vedic Technical Term Dictionary designed to present authentic and precise definitions of key concepts found in Vedic and Shastric literature. It serves as a specialized search engine where profound and nuanced terms such as Dharma, Karma, Yoga, Jñāna, and many others are systematically listed and explained in their proper scriptural context. The aim is to preserve the integrity of traditional meanings and prevent misinterpretation of foundational Vedic terminology.

This search platform has been carefully developed by feeding it authoritative Vedic Śāstra Granthas, ensuring that every definition is rooted in scriptural sources. Rather than offering casual or modern approximations, Kosha provides technically accurate explanations consistent with the traditional sampradāya understanding. It thus becomes a reliable reference tool for scholars, students of Vedānta, Sanskrit learners, researchers, and sincere seekers.

The project is an initiative of Paravidya Gurukulam (https://paravidya.org), an institution committed to the systematic study and teaching of Sanātana Dharma through traditional methodologies. Kosha reflects the Gurukulam’s vision of making authentic śāstric knowledge accessible in a structured and searchable digital format, while maintaining fidelity to the original sources.

This noble initiative has been created under the guidance and grace of Acharya Sri Srinivasa Guruji. With his inspiration and scholarly direction, the project aspires to serve as a dependable repository of Vedic technical terminology for present and future generations.
